Night Jungle walk in Arasinamakki  & Trek To Shingani Gudda [17th-18th May
2008]

Capacity: 15 Participants only**

* About Shingani Gudda :*
*It is one of the major peaks in Charmadi range and is also known as
Buddha's Peak. This is a 3 hour trek and being a moderate one, ideal for
beginners too. One passes through thick jungles adjoining Amedikallu and
Sibile Gudda peaks*

*Night Jungle walk:
Walk through the jungle and some Adivasi colonies for 8 km. One will reach
highway from there. Either one can walk back through the road which is 13
km. Or return through the same jungle. Ideal for trekking enthusiast.

River walk* :*
Shishila to Arasinamakki. This trek is through water body. Walk through
plantation, river bed and some times through the river. Extremely
interesting. Takes nearly three hours. Ideal for trekking enthusiast only.


*Route:* Bangalore - Nelamangala - Kunigal - Channarayapatana - Hassan -
Sakaleshpura - Shiradi - Kokkada - Dharmasthala

*Difficulty:* Moderate to Easy

*Distance:* * Shingani Gudda - *8-10 Kms approx. (Both way)
                 *Night Jungle walk - *8 Kms approx.

  *Tentative Schedule:*   *16th May 2008* 10:00 PM          Assemble at
Symphony theatre

10:30 PM          Depart to Arasinamakki
 *17th May 2008*

07:30 AM          Reach Arasinamakki

08:00 AM          Breakfast

09:00 AM          Start the trek

12:00 PM           Reach the peak & explore the place and Lunch

02:00 PM           Reach the base camp

06:30 PM           Start the Night Jungle walk

10:00 PM           Reach the base camp
                          Campfire (if possible) and Dinner

08:00 AM         Breakfast

09:30 AM         River walk , Bamboo rafting etc

12:00 PM          Reach the base camp

01:00 PM          Lunch ,Start back to Bangalore

 Shoes: With minimum grips/studs. preferably canvas or soft sole shoes if
not rock climbing shoes.


PS: BMC is dependent on the travel agency to send the vehicle on time and
BMC doesn't have vehicles of it's own. Hence there might be some delay in
the arrival of vehicle at the pick-up point. We request you to please
cooperate.

4. Consumption of alcohol is STRICTLY not allowed.
5. We are providing basic facilities, please do not expect luxury.
6. No facility of rest rooms on Trekking Place, one can use natural
resources.
7. We will try our best to make it safe for all age group people, we expect
