Ocean Adventure & Leisure Outing- Bhatkal White water Beach - Netrani Island

Note: Kindly call us for any clarification only after reading thru whole
details.

Tip: After long time we are getting kind of long weekend (take 1 day off on
1st Oct and get vacation of 4 days).

*Plan: First time in BMC we are organizing a real Ocean adventure outing.
there is much more to experience during this outing, I will note down few
highlights though:

1. We have arranged accommodation at Bhatkal light

2. 2 Boats are booked and they will be dedicatedly with BMC for 2 days.
3. Play in White Water Beach
4. Visit to Netrani Island and Camp there. First time in history some group
is getting permission to stay overnight at Netrani.
5. Float in Deep sea, (we will arrange life jackets.)


*Bhatkal:*

Bhatkal is the Town which covers many ancient monuments like Basti, Sultan
Palli, Chinnnada Palli, Chandranath Basadi and a beautiful sight of
Kadavinakatta dam built across the Venkatapur River. since it is an coastal
town, we can also enjoy  the sea-sight along with the Light House.

*Netrani Island (* Netragudo)*:*

Locally known as Netragudo.The tiny uninhabited Island of Netrani lies 10
nautical miles off the coastal Light House of Bhatkal.With depths ranging
from 6 to 40 meters, and visibility between 15 to 30 meters, this island
offers excellent diving suitable for certified divers of all experience
levels. Netrani is not only home to the great diversity of fish life common
to Goa and the Arabian Sea, it is also well known for regular sightings of
Turtles, Napoleon Wrasse, Great Barracuda, Cobia, White and Black Tip
Sharks, Stingrays and Stonefish. Imagine Grand Central Station in rush hour!

*Murdeshwar: (Optional visiting place)*

About 16 Kms. from Bhatkal, we come across  the  holy place called
Murdeshwar, famous for gorgeous temple  and the beautiful sea shore. the
temple, which embodies a Linga, is believed to have erupted when Ravana
flung  the Atmalinga at Gokarna while lifting it. As one ascends the
hillock, there is a shrine of Jattiga seated on a horse.

Route: Bangalore –Mangalore – Bhatkal, Around 495 Kms from Bangalore.


* Tentative Schedule:  *

* Friday 28th Sept: *
10:00 PM - Assemble at "Symphony Theater - MG Road , Bangalore "
10:30 PM - Start from Bangalore .

* Saturday 29th Sept:*

08.00 AM Break fast at Mangalore *
               *Lunch on the way
01.00 PM Reach Light House Officer quarters *(*Base camp)
01:30 PM Go for the first adventure of the event - Swim and Cross the
Bhaktal Creek to visit lonely white water beach [life jackets will be
provided, even nonswimmers can do it. Backup option of boat is available]
                Play in white water, relax, play volley ball etc.
                Swim to cross the creek back.
06:00PM Reach base camp
              Play, sing, Camp fire, veg-nonveg barbeque, dinner.

* Sunday 30th Sept:**
*07.00 AM Finish breakfast
08.00 AM Boat ride to Netrani island (New base camp)
               Reach Island
               Have lunch, Explore Island, Swim in Deep water.
               Camp at Netrani [ Camping can become real adventure if it
rains :) ]

* Monday 1st Oct: *
07.00 AM breakfast
08:00 AM Explore Island, Laze around, Read books, play volleyball, do
romance or whatever.
               Have lunch
*OR - We are working out for arranging Scuba diving and snorkeling for
interested people at extra charges.*
04:00 PM Reach back to Lighthouse.
07:00 PM Depart to Bangalore

*Things to carry:
*Energy Food, Raincoat, warm cloths, extra pair of shorts/t-shirt, torch
light, slippers, sunscreen lotion, camera.

Expenditure:

* Participation Fees: Rs. 3000.00*
Above charges includes: Transport, 2 Break fast, 2 Lunch, 2 Dinner
(Veg/NVeg), Boat charges, accommodation charges, tent, sleeping bag, life
jacket, Permission charges, Life guard, Porters, Sports items, First aid.

1. Registration on First come First serve basis.

2. No Cancellation will be accepted. (No refund)
3. Need Advance payment for confirmation of registration. No on the spot
payment will be accepted.
4. Consumption of alcohol is STRICTLY not allowed.
5. We are providing basic facilities, please do not expect luxury.

6. No facility of rest rooms on Netrani island, one can use natural
resources.

7. We will try our best to make it safe for all age group people, we expect
people not to try extra adventure.
8. We will be using government and military property during this outing,
discipline and respect towards that is expected from every participant.
